The Kenya men’s team will face neighbours Uganda in the final of the ongoing East Africa Zone 5 Wheelchair Basketball Championship at the Moi International Sports Center in Nairobi. Kenya beat Tanzania and Uganda on Friday to cap off a perfect start and ease in to the final. Uganda qualified for the decider after beating Tanzania 51-9 in Saturday’s crunch match to set up a rematch against the hosts on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Kenya women’s team also sailed through to the finals after beating Uganda 27-8 earlier on Saturday. The end of the round-robin matches will see Uganda and Tanzania battle for the other spot for Sunday’s curtain-closing showdown. The winners at the regional tournament will qualify for the Inaugural African Para-games to be held in Morocco in January next year.
