China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, is expected to land in Kigali in just a few hours.
Rwanda is the first stop in minister’s four nation tour. Wang is looking to deepen diplomatic ties between China and Africa even further. He will also lay the groundwork for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to be held in China later this year. He’s expected to hold talks with President Paul Kagame, who is taking over as the African Union Chair from his Guinean counterpart.
