Egypt’s total production, or gross domestic product, grew 4.3 percent in the third quarter of the 2016-17 fiscal year. Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed is projecting a growth rate of 4 percent by year-end. The rise, a result of growth in several industries, is welcome news in a country just coming out of the effects of the 2011 political unrest. Yasser Hakim reports.
