Emerging economies urged to step forward into the digital age

The Pathway for Prosperity Commission launched a 10 step digital manifesto to help emerging economies achieve technological transformation.
This digital roadmap is meant to address the mass exclusion of people from internet services. An estimated 3B people are predicted to be offline by 2023.. Digital technologies can be powerful tools to grow businesses and nations. Internet technology has enabled entrepreneurs to access global markets and provided innovative ways for governments to deliver better services. The commission co-chaired by Melinda Gates says that failure to switch economies to the digital age will risk widening the gap between rich and poor countries. However one of the biggest challenges facing innovators in Africa is access to capital.
