Kenyan Finance minister freed on cash bail following graft charges

A kenyan court has granted Finance Minister, Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary, a cash bail of about $145,000 dollars each. This comes after the two were arraigned at Law Court on Tuesday, over various corruption offences. Rotich and 27 other officials are accused of financial misconduct and conspiracy to defraud taxpayers in a multi-million dollar dam project. He makes history as the first sitting Kenyan Cabinet Secretary to be arrested and hurled to court in relation to graft charges.
