Kenyan goverment says new curriculum to focus on learners abilities

Grade three students have begun a month long assessment exercise based on a new education curriculum, the competency based curriculum which seeks to replace the old 8-4-4 system that has been in place for the past 32 years. The government says the new system will focus more on the child’s abilities and less on exams as its seeks to prepare students for an ever changing dynamic jobs market.
