Sierra Leoneans anxiously await final presidential poll results

Millions of Sierra Leoneans are waiting for the final results of the just concluded presidential elections. 75 percent of the votes in show opposition candidate Julius Maada Bio in the lead with 45 percent followed by Samura Kamara from the ruling APC, with 43 percent. The final announcement has been delayed because the electoral commission ordered a recount in about 83 stations, citing major irregularities. In the streets anxiety is high as the two top parties are neck and neck with a vote margin of about 15 thousand. Local officials are however calling for patience.
