Women to Watch: Barriers to Empowerment

This week on #WomentoWatch – Meet Dr. Marlene-Joannie Bewa, an advocate for education on HIV/AIDS, from Benin. Dr. Bewa has trained more than 3000 girls and women on their sexual and reproductive health, leadership, and entrepreneurship. We also feature Naomi Tulay-Solanke founder of PADS4GIRLS, which trains women to make sanitary napkins. A nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s in Public Health, she also founded the Community Health Care Initiative in Liberia.
