Women to Watch: State of Emergency, the Culture of Rape

This week on #WomentoWatch, a lawyer, a social activist, giving hope to thousands of survivors of rape and sexual assault in Nigeria’s Lagos state, Itoro Eze-Anaba is working to create a safe haven. She opened “The Mirabel Center, Nigeria’s first sexual assault facility, in 2013, and continues helping survivors. Also, Kenyan Pastor Terry Gobanga, a survivor of abduction and gang-rape, on her wedding day. Gobanga started her organization, Kara Olmurani, that works with rape survivors offering counseling and support.
