COVID-19 pushes women to use second-hand hair scavenged from dumps

A woman’s hair is her crown, but as the economic crisis from the COVID-19 pandemic continues to bite, many women in Kenya are seeking other alternatives to find cheaper and affordable hair. 
For stylist Julia Wanja, the pandemic has boosted her business, she collects second-hand hair from dump sites in Nairobi, washes and cleans them and sells them to clients.
