New export produce cess threatens Kenya’s flower industry recovery

Kenya’s exporters of fresh produce from this month will start paying at least four times more for a CESS tax. A letter from the Horticultural Crops Directorate to the industry essentially directs all exporters of horticultural produce to pay the new CESS tax from January 2021.
